I have arrived in Kandi and my gracious hosts are spoiling me!
We had a lovely meal of chicken, rice milk and spices, and some tea. Now a little rest!
Kandi is about 125 km from Colombo, and the single lane roadway makes for some heart stopping maneuvers. The entire way there was enough activity that it looked like one long, continuous community. School children in their white uniforms were everywhere and the fruit stands colored the way.
Tomorrow is the first day at the University, and I can't wait.
